In English we follow a programme that includes study of the written, oral and visual strands as outlined in the Curriculum. Our role is to develop the skills needed by students to become critical thinkers, articulate, and sound communicators. As far as possible we work in a holistic way, using a variety of relevant texts and resources.

The Junior school follows a thematic based programme which is assessed against the curriculum levels. The Senior school follows the NCEA programme.

We encourage participation in a variety of related activities, such as debating and public speaking and have Junior competitions that foster these.
