Certificate of Internationalisation
Hutt International Boys’ School aims to provide for each student a programme of internationalisation aimed at developing, and enriching, the international awareness and perspective of each student.
The Certificate of Internationalisation requires students to complete a series of challenges that include:
- Reflection of an unit of work with an International focus (Subject Contribution)
- Internationally focused essay (HIBS Essay)
- Overseas experience (OE Reflection)
- Involvement in Internationally focused competitions or events
- Internationally focused speech
- Optional Component that is a repeat of one of the above challenges
The challenges can be presented as an essay/ report, video or sounding recording or PowerPoint presentation.
Junior Certificate in Internationalisation
At Year 10, students will have the opportunity to present one of six challenges as part of their Year 10 Graduation process.
Upon completion of this challenge, students will receive their Junior endorsement in Internationalisation.
Senior Certificate in Internationalisation
In Years 11-13, students are required to complete five challenges by the end of their Year 13 year.
Upon completion of the five challenges, students will receive their senior endorsement in Internationalisation at the end of the year prize-giving ceremony.
